Burg Ruadh Broch (Burg Ruaidh, Borgue Roy)

The original broch wall is still standing and is exposed on the north side where it is best preserved. The entrance is not visible. I would suggest the broch is in line of sight with Upper Borgue broch, or would have been from the top when they were both standing. There is an opening into what remains of a gallery or chamber, with lintels still in place.

Find parking on the A9 and use the track to Borgue Loch and then cut across the moor to Burg Ruadh. There is no track from the loch to the broch, and walking is difficult. This is rough walking, so proper hill clothing and hill walking skills would be required to access the broch.
