West Strathan Broch (Dun Buidhe 4)

A heavily quarried and robbed broch surviving as a grassy mound. Apparently around 1914, a Mr MacLeod dug into the top of the mound for road building material and discovered a small circular chamber with passages leading off it. He crawled in and found thirty to forty chambers all with connecting passages. The broch was destroyed to build the road.

Take the single track road from the Kyle of Tongue to Talmine and follow the road to West Strathan.
